常用用法

n. (名詞)

score的基本意思是“二十”,由古代牧羊人清點羊數時從手指數到腳趾,每數到二十在樹上劃一個記號得來,因此引申可指“劃痕,刻痕”“得分,分數”等。
score還可作“欠賬; 宿怨; 樂曲,配樂; 真相”等解。
score作“二十”解時,有兩個複數形式,即score或scores; scores of後接可數名詞的複數形式,表示數量之多,而不表示具躰的數目。

score用作名詞的意思是“(比賽一方得的)分數”,轉化爲動詞則爲“得分”。
score用作及物動詞時,接名詞作賓語,還可接雙賓語,其間接賓語可轉化爲for/to介詞短語(轉化爲to的較少見),可用於被動結搆。用作不及物動詞時,常跟副詞out, up或介詞for, over連用。
